The desire to look fit, to feel the tone is quite understandable. But rarely does anyone like to sweat for this on exercise machines. Even with the greatest motivation, the monotonous movements on the simulators quickly become boring, turning into a routine. Therefore, you need to seriously think about taking up a specific sport. You need to choose it based on your character, interest, your physical fitness, ultimate goal and the ability to adjust your schedule for a new hobby.
Instructions
Step 1
Interest. Since exercising is an opportunity to avoid the routine at the gym, you should choose a sport that is purely enjoyable. It should be within your power, it should not tire you too much. The main thing is that you experience only positive emotions.
Step 2
Temperament. If you are a sanguine person, then your best bet is to choose a team sport. Think seriously about basketball, football or volleyball. The only problem here is finding a team of like-minded people. If you are a melancholic or phlegmatic, then you are unlikely to be interested in running or great physical activity, so feel free to choose golf, checkers, or leisurely cycling. If you have an explosive choleric character, then you have a direct road to any extreme sport or wrestling.
Step 3
Purpose. In addition to the main goal to tone yourself up, you probably have goals that are more specific. For example, if most of all you want to tighten the muscles of the abs and legs, then choose football, running. If you want to expand your chest and make your pectoral muscles more prominent, then you need to go swimming. If the goal is to find new friends, choose a team sport, if it is important for you to learn how to keep balance, develop flexibility and agility, then choose sports dancing and gymnastics.
Step 4
Physical training. Focus on the general condition of your body when choosing a sport. Walking, gymnastics, running and swimming are universal in this regard.
Step 5
Habits. When choosing a sport, a lot depends on what you are willing to sacrifice for it. Will you be able to exercise regularly, or will you only occasionally kick the ball or swim? Will you overcome bad habits in order not to choke in the first minute of the match, or will you continue to smoke and engage in gluttony? All of these factors will have a significant impact not only on your determination to play sports, but also on the actual results you can achieve.
