You decided to go in for karate and bought the first kimono in your life. A properly tied belt says a lot about a fighter, but the very process of tying at the very beginning may not seem so easy. In practice, you just need to carefully and clearly follow the simple instructions, and you will succeed.
It is necessary
Kimono, belt of correct length (3m)
Instructions
Step 1
Take the belt and place it in the middle against the belly.
Step 2
Next, wrap the belt around your waist, cross it behind your back and bring the ends out in front of you. Try to keep the right end of the belt slightly longer than the left, this will facilitate the tying process and make the resulting knot more even and neat.
Step 3
Cross the left end of the belt over the right and pass it from bottom to top, grasping both layers of the belt. Be careful to grab all winding tours.
Step 4
Take the lower end of the belt, which is on the right side, fold it over and place it over the left. Now weave both tails of the belt.
Step 5
Having formed an even, neat knot, pull tight on both ends of the belt.
Step 6
Finally, take the ends of the belt with your outstretched hands and check their lengths - they should be the same. This symbolizes the harmony between the body and spirit of the karateka.
Done right, you can go back to workout with a calm heart. A knot tied in this way is reliable and cannot untie itself.
