At a certain stage, many athletes begin to think about a professional career, about victories in competitions, about sports categories or the title of "master of sports". The process of becoming a master of sports from an ordinary athlete is difficult, takes more than one year and is associated with passing a number of intermediate certifications.

Step 1

Each sport has certain requirements for the athlete related to age and sporting success. Before receiving a "master of sports", it is necessary to consistently receive sports categories from 1 to 3, and then - the title of candidate for master of sports. In some disciplines, in order to receive a rank or title, it is necessary to take a prize place in a competition of a certain level. In some, it is necessary to achieve the fulfillment of a certain standard, for example, to run a certain distance in a certain time, or to lift a barbell of a certain weight. The standards are set by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and are adjusted annually.

Step 2

Each region of the Russian Federation has its own regional department of the Ministry, which is responsible for assigning category and master qualifications to athletes. Holding annual competitions in each sport, the employees of the Federation of Physical Culture and Sports take into account the occupied places and achievements of each athlete and, based on their results, assign the corresponding sports categories and titles. Judges must be certified as a judge of the All-Russian category.

Step 3

It is almost impossible to become a master of sports without an experienced coach. A competent coach is 50% of success in training a promising athlete. But good coaches will not waste their time on just anyone: you need to have a talent for the chosen sport and constantly prove your desire to achieve the highest result. Or pay the coach a certain amount for his work. An experienced mentor can determine the presence of a student's natural abilities for the chosen sport, without which it will be incredibly difficult for the latter to achieve any success.

Step 4

The theoretical training of the athlete plays an important role. To become a master of sports, it is not enough to know the numbers of standards, the number of defeated opponents or the right place in the competition. Knowledge about the structure and functioning of the body, about scientific ways to achieve endurance, strength and flexibility, about the correct organization of training, about the various ways of training athletes, their advantages and disadvantages, and so on are very important.

Step 5

Together with the coach, the athlete draws up a clear step-by-step plan of sports training, taking into account gender, age, level of training and other individual characteristics of the student. Fulfillment of all the prescribed prescriptions will allow consistently solving the necessary tasks at each stage of training. If necessary, the coach can adjust the existing plan. As a rule, such a schedule provides for an athlete to enter the competition at the peak of his sports form.

Step 6

Performances begin with city-scale competitions. After gaining the required number of first and second places, the athlete begins to perform at regional championships. As soon as the standard for the title of candidate for master of sports or master of sports is fulfilled, the corresponding title will be awarded. In team sports, the title of Master of Sports is awarded upon victory in an All-Russian competition. The Silver Cup guarantees the nomination of a candidate for Master of Sports.

Step 7

After awarding a title or rank, an athlete is issued a classification book in the organization where he was trained. This book certifies his sports title (rank) and contains information about all the places occupied by its owner in the competition. Additionally, a special badge is awarded.
