The team from Spain, which is related to Spartak, is that this team was successfully coached by Unai Emery, who did not succeed in the capital of our country. Sevilla got into the group from the second basket and this is probably the best draw in comparison with other giants. In recent years, apart from the Europa League, she has not won any titles, and in Spain she is the fourth-strongest team. There are no world stars in the team, but there are solid footballers, in particular Nolito, Ever Banega and others. And there is even former Spartak player Nicolas Pareja from Argentina.
Liverpool (England)
The team had a great previous season and made it back to the Champions League. In the summer, Liverpool was strengthened by Mohamed Salah from Roma, but in general, that close-knit team of last year remained. There were no significant losses either. Leading roles are played by Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Sadio Mane. Fans remember very well the last meeting between Spartak and Liverpool, which ended with the complete defeat of the Russian team. All fans hope that this will not happen again.
Maribor (Slovenia)
Probably the most coveted draw of all the teams in the Champions League this season. Despite the fact that Maribor is a 14-time champion of Slovenia, it is still significantly inferior to other teams in experience and skill.
The group turned out to be even, with the exception of the Slovenian team. Everyone hopes that Spartak will perform successfully, overcome the group stage and reach the spring part of the tournament.
