In order to learn how to ride roller skates in a short time, you need to choose them correctly for yourself in a specialized store. Otherwise, there will be falls and injuries. Make sure they fit well on both legs. Once you've taken this step, get down to practical training.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose an assistant for yourself. At first, you will simply need it, because you will still feel uncomfortable on roller skates. However, do not allow unnecessary assistance, such as pushing in the back, riding under the arm, or hugging the shoulders. You yourself must learn to maintain balance. Just ask to be near and in case of loss of balance, grab your hand.
Step 2
Learn to skate. Slip on the casters, tighten the fasteners and gently lift up. Make sure your legs are not pinched. Tilt your torso slightly forward, otherwise you can easily fall onto your back if the skates move. Try to balance yourself or ask a friend to support you.
Step 3
Tighten both legs and bring them to each other. Remain in this position for a short time to get used to the new state. If you feel uncomfortable with your boots, sit down and re-lace them. Also wear protective knee pads, elbow pads and a helmet.
Step 4
Practice roller skating. First of all, keep in mind that you do not need to push with the front wheel to move from the starting position. Bend your knees slightly, tilt your body forward, place your feet next to each other, twisting one of the boots outward slightly. Push off with your back leg and that's it. Now you are off.
Step 5
Place the jogging foot on the first. Change the position of your legs. Push not strictly in a straight line, but slightly to the right and left, constantly putting the leg with which you push off. Don't try to go too fast or push your feet too hard. Accelerate gradually, and soon you will be moving solely by inertia. Keep one hand behind your back, the other help the movement.
Step 6
Learn to make turns on roller skates. Always start turning well in advance. Keep your feet about shoulder width apart. Extend the leg in the direction you want to turn a little forward (for example, to the left). Sit down slightly and tilt your body to the left, pushing off the asphalt with your right foot.
Step 7
Extend your left foot so that your heel is in front of the toe of your right foot. Increase the pressure of your left foot on the edge of the roller wheels. Everything, you turned as you wanted. Level up and continue down the road.
