Many of us have seen how pupils of karate schools or special forces officers broke bricks with one hand. However, it is important to realize that it can take years of hard training to make this kind of progress. There are several important points to keep in mind.
It is necessary
- - mentor;
- - school;
- - makiwara;
- - bandages;
- - boards;
- - red bricks.
Instructions
Step 1
Find a professional karate school and an experienced mentor. If you decide to independently learn such a skill as breaking bricks with your fists, then there is a high probability that you will injure your hands and will not be able to practice for a long time at all.
Step 2
Practice air strikes from the body to begin with. Make sure that each blow is sharp and on the exhale. Return your hand to its original position while inhaling. Over time, this simple yet effective exercise will allow you to multiply your punching power.
Step 3
Start strengthening your fists. Once you get your hitting technique in place, start working on the makiwara. Clench your fist as tightly as possible and deliver a straight blow to the projectile with your right hand.
Step 4
Make sure that only the index and middle fingers touch the makiwara. Each subsequent blow should be sharper and stronger. Always apply it on a loud exhale and quickly return to the starting position. Do this until you are sure of the strength of your hands and wrists.
Step 5
Train first on regular thin boards. This is already a more serious stage of training. It is the psychological barrier that is important to overcome here. So pick up 1 thin board. Warm up and wrap a rag around your fist.
Step 6
Lay the board over two bricks. Then clench your fist tightly, rise to your toes and drive the blow from top to bottom. Hit again only with the first 2 knuckles. Your task is to break as many boards as possible and prepare your hands for working with bricks.
Step 7
Pick up one brick. In the first step, you are better off training with a red brick as it is much easier to break than a white one. It is important that it is dry. Lay it on top of the other two bricks on the sides. Practice the punch movement in the air.
Step 8
Follow the same technique as for the board: only the first two knuckles of the hand strike, the elbow and wrist are completely straight at the moment of impact. Break the brick when you're ready. Hold your hand very tightly and strike as hard as possible. Try to go through the brick with your hand. Do the blow only on a deep exhalation. Improve your skills constantly.
