Step 1
Ski bindings are available in three types - soft, rigid, and semi-rigid. The former are now almost never used, because they do not allow you to quickly and accurately control the skis. Modern bindings are made with rigid metal devices that clearly fix ski boots.

So, we change the mount. The first thing we need to do is buy a new one. It is imperative to look at the new mount for cracks, stud strength and the quality of the bow.
Step 3
We bought the mount, now we are proceeding with the installation. We determine the center of gravity of our ski by balancing it on a knife blade, screwdriver or ruler. The longitudinal axis of the boot inserted into the bindings must be aligned with the longitudinal axis of the ski. And the front edge of the attachment bracket should coincide with the line of its center of gravity. The longitudinal axis of the shoe is the line that runs between the big and second toes and the back point of the heel contour.
Step 4
The gaps of the ski boots should fit well against the side edges of the anchorage bracket. We screw in the front screw that secures the bracket to the ski. After we insert it into the boot mount, we check our mount for the position of the boot heel relative to the load area. It is necessary that the boot does not lead away from the site. We also check if the longitudinal axes of the boot and the ski are the same. Then screw in and tighten the rest of the screws. Drill holes in the sole of the ski boot for the spikes of the staple.
Step 5
On plastic skis, bindings are installed in the same way as on wooden skis. Just before screwing in the screws, we need to drip epoxy or BF glue into the screw holes. The same can be done if the screws holding the mounts on the old wooden skis are loose and loose.
