A block in volleyball is a technical defensive technique in which the path of a ball that flies after an opponent's serve or after an attacking blow is blocked is blocked. Let's consider the block execution technique.
Instructions
Step 1
In most cases, the block is executed after the move. The player stands facing and near the net. The player's legs are bent at the knees and are shoulder-width apart and at the same level, and the feet are parallel to each other. The arms should be bent at the elbows, the hands should be in front of the chest. The player (s) with the ball are moved to the expected meeting place in different ways depending on the distance. They move at a distance of less than 2 meters by leaps, from 2 to 3 meters - at an additional step and from 3 meters - by running, then turning to face the net.
Step 2
Bounce. During the jump, the arms are the first to act, and then the legs. The player, lifting himself off the floor, brings his arms over the net so that they remain bent at the elbows. The forearms get a slight slope in relation to the grid, and the fingers at this time are optimally tense and spread, the palms are parallel to the grid. When blocking at the edge of the net and when blocking by transfer, the palm of the hand closest to the end of the net is turned at a slight angle. As the ball approaches, the elbows extend and move forward, then back. At the same time, the wrist joints are bent, and the fingers move forward and downward. Striking the ball, the hands move the ball down to the opponent's side, after which the player straightens the hands and lands.
