The path from desire to being able to box in the ring sometimes takes years

It is necessary

  • - health certificate;
  • - home gym (horizontal bar, jump rope, punching bag, exercise bike);
  • - sportswear (T-shirt, shorts, gloves, bandages, special shoes called "boxers");
  • - contract with a personal trainer;
  • - money to pay for individual lessons.

Instructions

Step 1

Before entering the boxing ring, be sure to check your health at a district clinic or at a medical and physical dispensary. There is a fairly extensive list of medical contraindications for boxing. It includes, in particular, diseases of the nervous system, respiratory and digestive organs, vision and hearing, severe head injuries, skin and cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and other ailments.

Step 2

Prepare yourself for such a challenging sport physically. The best ways to do this are by doing other sports. These include, in particular, athletics (running), swimming, outdoor sports, cycling. A long visit to the fitness room, as well as exercise on strength machines, will be a good help for gaining muscles. Lead a healthy lifestyle.

Step 3

If you have the opportunity, then build a home mini-gym with a horizontal bar, punching bag, jump rope, dumbbells, kettlebell, exercise bike, treadmill. Learn how to use them correctly and start exercising from the comfort of your apartment. Do not force your activities: start with small loads, increasing them gradually. Listen to your body and the advice of more experienced sports colleagues.

Step 4

Find a gym with a boxing ring and an individual trainer. Sign up for classes, go three times a week. The cost of one hour lesson ranges from 500 to 1500 rubles. Follow all directions from your coach and potential sparring partner. Pay special attention to physical, psychological and tactical training. Monitor your health and visit your doctor periodically.
