One of the most popular Soviet sports songs was and remains "A coward does not play hockey" with the words "Real men play hockey." But becoming a hockey player, and even one about which they will compose poems and songs, is not too easy. After all, you need to start as soon as you have learned to walk. And in parallel with visiting a kindergarten and studying at a comprehensive school, you will also have to study in a specialized CYSS for many years.

Yard clubs and sections

The easiest way to introduce a child to hockey is to give him the opportunity to play on the court in the yard - near the house or near the school. The advantages of this option for many parents are obvious: the boy is nearby and outdoors, strengthens his health, communicates and makes friends with friends he knows. In addition, he almost does not need special expensive hockey uniforms, except for skates and a stick with a puck. But at first glance, all these pluses are covered by a single minus. You can't really learn how to play hockey on a courtyard court, even if you throw five goals in every match with the neighboring guys. And getting into a serious ice company even at preschool age is quite difficult.

Another important problem is that there are not too many such sites in the country - in contrast to the USSR during the heyday of the "Golden Puck". Especially away from Moscow and other megacities with great hockey traditions. In some secondary Russian schools, there are still hockey clubs that have come again from Soviet times, where they also teach a little and somehow how to handle a stick. Some of the advantages and numerous disadvantages of this method are outlined in the previous paragraph, and there are almost no differences from them. Except for one thing: without studying at this school, having come to the court from the side, you simply cannot get into the section.

Physical education teams

Once semi-amateur hockey teams existed in almost every industrial enterprise, were called in accordance with their status as "physical culture teams" and considered it their duty to also support children's teams of different ages. Moreover, the level of the latter was so high that many guys, who showed themselves especially well at the All-Union Golden Puck tournaments, later moved to more professional teams and even grew to the national team of the country.

For example, the Honored Master of Sports Ilya Byakin began his hockey career at the open area of the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant in Sverdlovsk, from where, at a fairly mature age, he transferred to the school of the Sverdlovsk team of masters "Avtomobilist". And later he became the Olympic champion in 1988 and three-time winner of the world championships. Today, in the era of full professionalization of ice hockey, such a transition seems fantastic. Moreover, there are almost no physical education teams left not only in today's Yekaterinburg, but also in the country.

DYUSSH

The only truly serious opportunity in Russia to become a real master and someday grow to the level of a player in the KHL (Continental Hockey League) and the national team of the country is to enroll in a youth sports school (youth sports school). It is no coincidence that even the famous in the past players of the invincible USSR national team, the same Ilya Byakin, try to take their sons to these schools, and not train them on their own. The latter, by the way, is not very real. In any case, the history of world hockey does not yet know examples of an absolutely independent, outside the team, training of a high-class player.

Adults

It is theoretically possible to start playing hockey, for example, in the championship of a small town, even in adulthood. But in fact, this is also almost from the realm of fantasy. Firstly, without doing it in childhood, it is quite difficult to really be able to play, and not just walk around the court with a club, as domestic show business stars and politicians often demonstrate. And secondly, even in amateur teams, players are required to have a certain level of skill. And such a youthful concept as "recording" does not exist in them.
