The goalkeeper position is key in any team play. The same is, of course, true for football. Defenders cannot always save the gate. And then the question arises, how can the goalkeeper effectively hit the balls flying into his goal?

Instructions

Step 1

Develop a reaction. It is impossible to hit fast flying balls into the goal without a developed reaction. Work on this skill constantly, as goalkeepers need it the most. Ask for more straight punches in your workout. Practice also reflecting penalties from 11 meters. This will help get rid of the fear of blow and give a new impetus to skills.

Step 2

Watch the movement of the opponent's legs and eyes. As during training and official play, keep an eye on how your opponent moves. The most important thing is to have time to notice in which direction his striking leg is directed. As a rule, the ball will fly in this direction. You will have a few fractions of a second to react. Also watch where the batter is looking. If he looks up, most likely the kick will go to the top corner of the goal.

Step 3

Consider deceiving moves. Some players like to make a fake swing with one leg to hit with the other. Don't fall for their tricks! Stand firmly on your feet with your knees slightly bent and your hands shoulder-width apart. This way you can react quickly and hit the flying ball. Stay cool in any situation.

Step 4

Take the awnings in your hands. If the ball is flying high, then jump from the spot and throw your arms up high. Do not be afraid to hurt someone while doing this. Grasp the ball as hard as possible and press it to the ground if the situation at the goal is dangerous enough. If not, just grab the ball and throw it outside the penalty area.

Step 5

Use your fists to beat off strong smashing blows on target. It's another matter if you have to react directly to the ball flying into the goal. This situation is much more dangerous than awnings. Use only your fists or palms to deflect such blows. Beat them away from the goalkeeper's area so that no one can pick up the ball and score a goal. Do this as quickly and as sharply as possible.

Step 6

Kick the ball rolling on the ground with your feet. If the game situation allows, then just kick the projectile back into the field. This must be done if the opponent's attackers are in the immediate vicinity of the goal and are dribbling the ball in front of them. It is not always possible in such cases to hit the ball with your hands. Therefore, run out of the gate quickly and knock the projectile away. This will save your team from unnecessary trouble.
