The second - Rio de Janeiro as the future host of the Olympic Games. And the third part was devoted to the official closing of the Olympics. Of course, many famous music groups and performers performed at the ceremony.
The festive show, dubbed "Symphony of English Music," was directed by Kim Gavin. There really was a lot of music, it did not stop almost for a minute. Famous hits that became British classics sounded. The groups The Pet Shop Boys, Muse, Spice Girls performed. Muse are best known for the London Olympics anthem, and the Spice Girls teamed up to perform at the Olympic Closing Ceremony.
World famous musicians Paul McCartney, Elton John, George Michael, singers Adele and Annie Lenox performed at the Olympic farewell event. The closing ceremony of the XXX Summer Olympic Games was completed by the famous British band The Who, who performed their famous composition My Generation. The end of the closing ceremony was accompanied by colorful fireworks.
