Wrestling is a sport and at the same time a type of staged show, in which the actions are discussed in advance by the participants. Someone condemns him for falsity, and someone devotes his whole life to him. In both cases, special attention is paid to the rules.

Features of wrestling - features of the rules

The main feature of wrestling is the practical absence of any clearly established rules in it. Being staged, fights in this sport are a kaleidoscope of techniques and techniques taken from different martial arts, which, in turn, determines the relative similarity of the wrestling rules with the rules established by the Greco-Roman wrestling association.

In addition, restrictions can be of an improvisational nature, based on ensuring the safety of the life and health of a fighter, as well as on the established norms of television broadcasting and open screening in a particular region. This is due to the fact that often acrobatic numbers and the use of improvised weapons are spelled out in the fight scenario. Also, the rules may include items that ensure the safety of spectators, because the fight sometimes continues outside the ring.

Wrestling victory conditions

There are two main types of duels: one-on-one and team sparring. Depending on this, the conditions for victory will be slightly modified, but in any case there will be only one winner, or there will be no winner. It is also worth noting that the nuances that determine the victory of a particular fighter for each fight can be separately negotiated by the organizers.

Victory Conditions:

• keeping the opponent in the ring with shoulder blades for the entire time while the referee is counting - on the count of three, the winner is awarded;

• violation of the time frame established by the referee, when the fighter is outside the ring - in this case, the victory is awarded to the opponent;

• surrender of the enemy when his opponent carries out pain syndrome;

• disqualification due to violation of the established rules for a specific fight, unless a condition excluding disqualification is initially stipulated;

• knockout - physical inability of the opponent to continue the fight;

• one victory over any opponent in a team match allows the entire group to win, even if there are still active fighters in the opponent's team;

• victory in a ladder match if the fighter manages to reach the object above the ring first;

• maintaining the primacy in the "royal battle", provided that all other opponents are removed from the ring by throwing them over the upper rope.

Technical rules, prohibitions

1. In team fights, the rule is “every man for himself,” but this does not give the fighter the right to make grabs against his teammate.

2. Strikes with the toe of the boot, closed fist, spitting in the eyes and bites are considered forbidden in wrestling.

3. Any participant in the fight can attack another at any time and from anywhere in the ring.

4. If the fighter receiving the kick grabs the rope, the hold must be stopped. The same goes for retention. As soon as the attacker moves away, the referee counts down and, depending on the rules of a particular fight, may disqualify the attacking fighter. This rule does not apply when a competitor climbs onto a rope to attack an opponent.

5. The fight may end in a draw if both participants are disqualified, or both are knocked out.

6. Cancellation of the fight is carried out only if it is impossible to count the victory.
