Euro 2012 will be held from June 8 to July 1 in Poland and Ukraine. The host cities in Poland will be Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan, in Ukraine - Kiev, Kharkov, Donetsk and Lvov. The opening of the Euro 2012 championship will take place in Warsaw.
Instructions
Step 1
In the capital of Poland, matches will be held at the National Stadium, which has a capacity of 50,000 fans. The Polish national team plays here. The fan zone will be located on the Parade Square and will accommodate about hundreds of thousands of people. On its territory there are six huge screens, from which all the matches of the championship will be broadcasted.
Step 2
In Gdansk, Euro 2012 matches will be held at the 40,000-seat Arena Gdansk stadium, which was completed in 2011. This stadium resembles a giant amber, as the exterior of its arena uses more than fifteen hundred tiles, similar in color to amber. The fan zone will be located in the People's Meeting Square, which can accommodate about 30,000 people.
Step 3
Unlike Arena Gdansk, which resembles amber, Wrocław's Meiski Stadium, which will host three Group A matches, looks like a Chinese flashlight. Its construction was completed in September 2011 and the capacity of the stadium is about 40,000 thousand fans. The main fan zone will be located in the heart of Wroclaw - on the Market Square. It will be able to follow the matches of about 30,000 thousand people.
Step 4
Approximately the same number of people - about 30,000 - will accommodate the hospitable Freedom Square in Poznan. This city will host three Group C matches of the 2012 European Championship at the Meiski stadium. It is curious that earlier this stadium was considered the largest club arena in Poland, until new stadiums appeared in Wroclaw and Gdansk. Today the stadium is ready to accommodate up to 40,000 fans.
Step 5
In Kiev, players and fans will be hosted by the oldest stadium "Olimpiyskiy", which was built back in 1923 and, of course, significantly renovated by the beginning of Euro 2012. Today it can accommodate 40,000 people. It will host the final of the European Championship. The fan zone will be located on Independence Square, where viewers will be able to watch live broadcasts of all matches from four giant screens.
Step 6
Kharkov stadium "Metalist" is only three years younger than Kiev "Olympic". Its capacity is about 35-38 thousand fans. But on the Freedom Square, which is on the 9th place among the largest squares in the world, there will be a fan zone. On it, 50,000 thousand people will be able to watch the matches of Euro 2012 from three huge screens.
Step 7
The center of the coal industry of Ukraine Donetsk will host Euro 2012 matches at the ultra-modern Donbass Arena, which will accommodate about 50,000 fans. The main fan zone will be located in the Park of Culture and Leisure. A. S. Shcherbakov, where three screens will be installed, and in between matches concerts of popular pop stars will be held, as well as football matches for fans in a five-by-five format.
Step 8
In Ukrainian Lviv, located just 70 km from the Polish border, three Group B matches will be held at the Arena Lviv. This stadium is considered the smallest of those that will host Euro 2012 matches. Its capacity is approximately 30,000 people. This sports arena is the youngest among the rest - it was opened in October 2011. The fan zone will be located in the busiest part of the city - Svobody Avenue.
