In addition to the accurate shot in basketball, there are a number of important skills for effective play. One of them is feints. Without them, it is impossible to outwit the opponent and approach the ring. So what do you need to do to achieve quick results?
It is necessary
- - Basketball;
- - sufficient strength and endurance.
Instructions
Step 1
Learn first low and controlled feints. They should be used when taking the ball out of the oversaturated area of the court in order to beat the opponent when approaching his net, as well as to advance the ball. To do this type of dribbling effectively, spread your fingers wide and relax them. Let your elbow almost touch your body and your forearm parallel to the floor. Push the ball forward with your fingers and hand away from the defender. Bend your body forward. Keep your back straight.
Step 2
Perform controlled dribbling, during which you want the ball to rise no higher than the knee. But always look ahead and be ready to pass the ball. If your opponent wants to pick up the ball, use a low bounce. During a fast pass, the defender puts his near arm and leg forward. In this case, use a high bounce, but with a change in direction or pace of movement.
Step 3
Try to beat your opponent at the beginning of the dribble, and for this it is better to use dribbling with your shoulders, holding the ball firmly. If you need to beat the opponent dribbling the ball, then press your elbows to the body, and try to quickly grab it from your opponent's hands with your hands.
Step 4
Train high-speed high feints. Use chest-level dribbling when running into the lead or dribbling the ball away from defense, and when no team member is open to receive the serve. In this case, you can run in a fairly high stance, but always be ready to pass to the partner who opens up. You can also switch to supervised guidance. Push the ball as far away from you as possible to increase speed, that is, to create a sharper angle of contact with the floor than with a controlled dribble.
