If cycling is interrupted by the chain jumping off due to its weak tension, and the rear derailleur does not work when screwing up the hill, then it's time to start adjusting it. This can be done in a few steps.

Instructions
Step 1
Clean debris from derailleur, tensioner rollers and chain. Lubricate the latter. Please note that the screws on the rear derailleurs may be positioned differently depending on the model. The stop screws are most often located on the side rather than the back.
Step 2
Place the chain on the smallest sprockets at the back and front. Locate the adjusting screw L and screw H. on the derailleur. Loosen the rear derailleur cable. To do this, turn the tension adjustment drum clockwise until it stops. Do the same with the drum on the shifter.
Step 3
Remove the cable. Using the Allen key, loosen the cable fixing screw and remove it from the cable holder. You do not need to remove it from the switch, but check what state it is in. Replace a loose or worn cable, and clean and lubricate a dirty one. When tidied up, it will provide crisp gear shifting.
Step 4
Set up big gears. To do this, stand behind the bike and align the smallest sprocket and tensioner rollers by turning screw H. Make sure the rollers are in line with the sprocket.
Step 5
If the tensioner rollers remain pushed to the right, it will be difficult for the chain to move onto the large sprockets. In this case, turn screw H clockwise. If the rollers are shifted to the left, the chain will not be able to move freely to the smaller sprockets. Here it is necessary to turn the same screw counterclockwise. With properly adjusted large gears, the chain on the smallest sprocket will run silently and without sideways jumps.
Step 6
Install the cable. Tuck it under the mounting screw. Pull it firmly with one hand while tightening the fastening screw with the other hand. If a cable groove is provided, make sure the cable is inserted into the groove rather than lying next to it. When tightening the screw, be careful not to strip the threads.
Step 7
Set small gears. To do this, unscrew screw L almost to the end, so that it does not restrict the movement of the switch. Start pedaling and at the same time shift the shifter into first gear. Do this with caution, as the chain may enter the spokes prior to adjusting, overshooting the left largest sprocket.
Step 8
Adjust small gears. Standing behind the bike, turn screw L and align the largest sprocket and tensioner rollers until they are in a straight line. Usually, the screw needs to be tightened before it starts to rotate tightly.
Step 9
Adjust the chain tensioner. With it on the smallest front sprocket and largest rear sprocket, pedal back. If the upper tensioner pulley touches the sprocket teeth, turn the screw until the pulley is removed from the teeth by 5 mm. Then move the chain to the smallest sprocket and check the chain tension there.
