Biography of Masterkova
Svetlana was born in the small town of Achinsk in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on January 17, 1968. From the very birth, the girl was characterized by fullness of the body. Therefore, she was very constantly teased by her peers and did not want to be friends. The parents were imbued with this problem of the child and sent Svetlana to the athletics section.
The girl's results weren't impressive at first. But the first coach Masterkova saw great potential in her and began to train hard. This immediately helped Svetlana not only cope with excess weight, but significantly improve her personal performance in running.
At this moment, the girl is offered to move to live in Moscow in order to continue to train and participate in competitions. Svetlana goes to the capital and immediately shows a high result. She becomes the champion of Russia in running at a distance of 800 m. This allows her to try her luck at the 1991 World Cup in Japan. There she performs unsuccessfully and takes only 8th place. But on the other hand, he gains experience and makes a big step forward to new victories.
Then Masterkova took several prizes at international competitions, but in 1993 she moved to live in Spain and stopped training for a while.
Two years later, Svetlana resumes her career as an athlete and immediately goes to the Olympic Games in Atlanta. These competitions are considered the peak of the career of an outstanding athlete.
