Step 1
Sixteen teams will take part in the final part of the 2012 European Football Championship. The teams that made it to the final were divided into four groups by lot, the draw took place on December 2, 2011 in Kiev. The teams of Poland, Russia, Greece, and the Czech Republic are in Group A. In group B - the national teams of the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Denmark. Teams from Spain, Italy, Croatia and Ireland will play in Group C. And in group D - the national teams of Ukraine, England, Sweden, France.
Step 3
The group stage matches will begin on June 8 with a game between the national teams of Poland and Greece. Only eight teams will qualify for the quarterfinals, with four games taking place on June 21-24. Losing teams are eliminated from the tournament. Two semifinal games will take place on June 27 and 28, the final will be held in Kiev on July 1.
