Thanks to the points scored, the Russian national team took first place in their group and reached the final of the 2012 European Championship without play-offs.

Step 12

According to the results of the draw, the Russian national team got into group A together with the teams of Poland, Greece and the Czech Republic. The first match of the group stage the Russian team will play on June 8 against the Czech team, and on June 12 they will play against the Polish national team. The Russian team will play against the Greek national team on June 16. At the end of the three games, it will become clear whether the Russians will be able to get to the quarterfinals.
