Despite the fact that sport paragliders reach speeds of up to 65 km / h, you should not fly at maximum speed. The optimal paragliding speed is 22 km / h. The fact is that at an increased speed, the flight becomes as dangerous as possible, as a result of which the wing can fold, which, accordingly, will lead to irreversible consequences.
The speed of the paraglider must be carefully monitored. If the speed is lower than the allowable one, the required amount of rising air does not get under the canopy, as a result of which the wing begins to fold, but still tries to compensate for the missing flow and moves forward, adjusting the speed. This is due to its flexibility, but in the case of folding, you need to take control and "catch" the air. On average, on rental paragliders, when flying with an instructor, the flight time is approximately 15-20 minutes. You can fly for many kilometers - the world record was set at 423 kilometers.
Paragliding is an interesting and extreme sport, but paragliding is expensive. The cost ranges from 300 to 3000 euros. This difference in cost depends on the manufacturer, the wing components and other consumables. The service life of the paraglider reaches three years, since soft fabrics are used for the manufacture of the wing for the lightness of the aircraft. Also, under the influence of sunlight, the fabric deteriorates, becomes less durable and flexible.
